Reeth Medical Centre Closure - Community Update
Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026
A working group of the six parish councils of the two dales has met today with County Councillor Yvonne Peacock to discuss solutions for not losing the GP surgery in Reeth, following the public announcement of its pending closure last Thursday. The group is currently gathering facts. It is the beginning of a long process, but we’ve made some headway despite the difficulties posed by the Easter break. Once we have more information we intend to hold a public meeting for all patients across the six parishes of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale that are served by Reeth Medical Centre.
