19th May 2026 Update
Yesterday evening the Parish Council Working Group and Cllr Peacock met with Lynn Irwin from the Central Dales Practice to discuss the current situation for Reeth Medical Practice.
It was confirmed that the South Tees Trust plan to lease the current Reeth Doctors Surgery Building for five years and the Central Dales Practice will sublet it from them as the building is not currently for sale.
The Central Dales Practice is still on track to deliver a service three days a week from Reeth with a rota already planned for June involving an experienced GP and there will also be other familiar faces at the practice. This plan means 27hours of contact time per week.
Prescriptions will be available to collect from Reeth Practice on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays from 9am till 6pm.
Hopefully the South Tees Trust will be able to bring additional services to Reeth through use of the spare spaces within the building.
The ICB will be sending a letter out to confirm where current Reeth Patients will be registered with potentially a few being told they are being moved to Richmond however if they wish they can register back with the Central Dales Practice.
A few things to note from June 1st:
We hope this answers some of your questions but please be patient Lynn and all the staff at the Central Dales Practice are working hard behind the scenes to finalise the last bits in preparation for June 1st
